Hey members and guests,
Natasha, our newest member just inspired me with a new idea. if you have any paranormal experiences you want to share, and get our opinions on,,,,skepticism or otherwise we could use this thread to do so,,,,could be fun, as well as a learning experience for our own investigations.

For all of those innocents that have had none,,,your skepticsm is welcome also.
Also remember that those that have experienced the paranormal can be the best skeptics.
I'm always bursting my husbands eery happenings bubble with my own skepticism.

okay I will start,,,,,
Besides the usual seeing shadows out of the corner of my eye,,,,when i was three or so,,,who knows,,,,and an apperician or two, but again who knows when you're a child,,,,,my first adult recall,,,,is two days before my mother passed away in the evening while the household was sleeping, my husband and I were dozing off in the family room, the phone rang, I answered, and someone on the other line named Sandy, called me by my name and asked if I had gone through Mom's things yet.
She asked if I were sleeping,,,,I said no [lied to a ghost I guess],,,,and refused to believe I wasn't sleeping. Anyway, I told her she must have the wrong number and she said, Well, this is Patricia isn't it? She repeated her question about Moms things, and I said I was Patricia, but I have no idea what you are talking about. She really did not want to hang up, I kind of insisted she had the wrong number, and hung up. Mom died two days later,,,and yes, I found myself going through her things.

For all of you skeptics,,,no I was not dreaming, it was as real as they come.
I did not even think of the phone call until the day of her funeral, before I was ready to go to the funeral home.

SO, THAT WAS THE FIRST ADULT ENCOUNTER WITH THE BEYOND,,,THERE'S MORE,,,BUT LET'S HEAR YOURS.

Wish I could give something to this post!! Unfortunately, I have had no personal experiences other than what has occurred during our investigations. Hope I can add more soon!! Laughing

Pat,

Your story made the hair on my arms stand up. I have unfortunatly not had a personal experiance that I could call paranormal. I have had strange things happen but like I said nothing paranormal. Still waiting for my first experiance but still not a skeptic. Laughing

Actually I was just thinking about your experiance and I was wondering if you did any further research into "Sandy"? Like maybe a Sandy that used to live in that house, a relative of your mothers that she was once close to and maybe watched over her?

Hi Jess and welcome,,,Well. sure at the time I wondered if I had some long lost sister out there named Sandy,,,,and I got the usual questions from my family,,,,like do you even know a Sandy,,,,,nope.
So, all i can do is chalk it up to highly unusual,,,,paranormal experience. They happen believe me.
I am still waiting for you guys to contribute some experiences,,,,then I'll give you more,,,,haha. Remember there are no coincedences!

My father died a gruesome and untimely death when I was just under 10 years old.

The night after his death I was visited by a full bodied apparition the LOOKED exactly like my father but was NOT my father.

Wounds were visible where he had received his and whatever it was, it was there to scare me, not comfort me. At 10 years old it certainly made a lasting impression.

I am of the personal belief that not everything we see that is paranormal is really a ghost, but rather demonic. It doesn't mean you didn't see it, it just means that demons are smart and have had thousands of years to get that way.

They have even been known to take the form of Angels of Light and some believe the Virgin Mary herself at Fatima and other places,

We all want comfort for sure, and maybe some of it is....but never get too attached unless you are certain and even then, be careful......

Again my opinion....I can support it but it is not necessary for the topic at hand.

Very interesting Ivan,,,,my thoughts are,,,,how vulnerable we are! I am interested in your facts to support that thought. I suppose when you get down to it,,,,,your soul and superconscience would know, if you're open to it.
We have another member who feels as you do, the skeptical side you might say.
Very interesting,,,,,My next thought is,,,,do I want to give a demon that much credit? But I suppose if we don't again we are vulnerable.

Pat you bring up an interesting point about not wanting to give demonic or evil things credit but remember this...most serial killers have an IQ that would blow most of our doors off.

It is like any enemy....you may hate them, but don't turn your back. Demons are extremely intelligent and malicious. They hate and resent humans for situations they created themselves.

I am not saying ghosts exist but I think the demonic is far more common than people want to think about.

Every day we are exposed to demonic things on tv, movies, books, magazines.....and our culture accepts it. Also angry and depressed situations tend to attract them.....depending on your spiritual beliefs.

Personally I will take the word on 50 monks that all saw the same thing over 100 lay people with different stories.

My religion is strict, very true....I just dont want to offend anyone or have anyone feel that I am "preaching". I have an analytical mind and want evidence or as close as I can come to it.

What do you think that rotten egg smell is a lot of people report with apparitions........(not being smart with you, just giving another example of a theory)

ivan,,,We are of the same religion, so no worries there,,,on offending me.
I am open to all thoughts however.
I know from personal experience,,,,demons exist,,,,,I guess I am of the thought that even uttering their name, or giving any "credit" would bring "it" too close.
I fully agree on the intelligence angle,,,,,,I happen to think, no I know, that Faith wins over intelligence, the Light, or whatever one believes in that is good,,,,will win. I also believe in shields, I think it is a must. And different people have their own shields hopefully. I speak of all of this through personal experiences,,,it would be wayyyy to0 long to get into here.
It seems you will make an excellent contribution to our team.
