Here is a story of my first paranormal experience:
When I was a child about four years old I would be awakened every night by what I came to term as "my friend". I do not know what time it was exactly, however, I know that everyone was asleep so it must have been quite late. I would just wake up and sit up in bed and await the visitation everynight. This entity would take shape and sit on the foot of my bed and tell me stories and other things. I do not remember everything it told me, however, I do remember it telling me one night that my mommy and daddy were not really my mommy and daddy, and that my real mommy and daddy were looking for me. This entity visited me many times, untill about the time that I started school.
As a child in later years I developed (as most children do) an imaginary friend. Her name was Sandy.
Many years later, in my adult life, I was contacted by a court-appointed investigator. She revealed to me that I had been adopted when I was six-months old, and that my biological parents had been looking for me for all those years to try to get me back. When I met my biological parents, I was astonished to discover that the name of my biological mother is Sandy.

Amazing experience Ghost dragon. I am curious,,,are you still in contact with your biological mother,,,,and what was her take on the experience? Did she have any experiences at the same time you had your visitations?

As it turns out, I am the oldest of four children. My mother had me when she was fourteen years old. I was born in a convent in Jackson Michigan, and the nuns put me up for adoption. My mother never even saw me. They (I am told) would do this when a girl at that time was such an under-age mother. I have kept contact with my biological mother, father , father, and all three siblings. We have grown very close, as well as a large extended family. The family history (or legend) of our family is that our family comes from Romania, where reportedly our family crest and some family portraits are still in use on some currancy. The legend is that we are descedants of none other than Vlad Tepiesh...........other wise known as Vlad the impaler.
Believe it or not.................True story. |

I have to admit Boothe when it comes to Spirits touching children, it gives me the chills, and yes, there are good and evil ones for sure.
It does help to know what to do in a case like that and it sounds as if your method worked.

Experience.. To be honest, I think, almost anyone who has become interested in paranormal research has has some sort of experience in one for or another, no matter how small or insignificant.
Growing up, I have had a lot of things happen. My very first experience I remember is waking up in my bed, I woke up to find my mother watching me at the end of my bed, but there was a problem, not only was my bed on the top of the bunk beds I shared, but my mother was transparent and kind of blue in a way. I never felt frightened or afraid so I just rolled back over and went to sleep. To this day, I don't know what it was, but I remember it very clearly.
Later on, I'd experience a lot of small, little things, like missing keys or books. And things like hearing footsteps, voices, or doors opening and closing. I remember one time, I woke up and it sounded like there was a party downstairs. I got out of bed, and began to walk down the stairs, while I did, I could still hear all the people talking. As I descended the final stairs and walked into the living room, the voices faded away. I walked into the living room to find it was not only very late at night, but all the lights were off and no one was up.
Later on, I had other things happen, that I am not even sure what they were. To this day, I fail to be able to explain what they were. Of course, yet again, it was small stuff, like footsteps and voices, but they increased. I started to have panic attacks in the middle of the night while I slept, and as time went on, it would happen while I was awake, but only in one part of the house. One time I woke up with a rather large cut over my eyebrow. Later on, I would smell terrible smells in my room, but find no source to them, and once I had a disembodied voice scream out my name in the middle of the night. I went downstairs to see if my step dad wanted me, only to find it was roughly 3:30 in the morning and everyone was sleeping. When I moved, all of those problems suddenly went away, it was because of that, I sometimes question myself what kind of problem it actually was.
I moved back home with my folks this week when I moved back to Michigan, and I have taken up residence in my old room, so I suppose we will see if my problems return. _________________ -Kuehnau |

I sometimes wonder if it is the place or the person themselves. Could be a poltargeist experience. In which I am familiar with,,,again not sure. I also think we go in life phases when paranormal activity is more active than others.
I have always had a ver strong intuitive nature that borders on psychic ability, but again, who knows.
For instance,,,,one evening my husband and I were playing cards with another couple, and the woman mentioned a book that someone recommended to her, she was going to get it. "The seven steps of prophecy" I think it was called. A spiritual book.
Anyway,,,I took note of it mentally,,,,,it was not that popular at the time.
Anyway, I woke up the next morning,,,,,it was laying on my table. A friend had given it to my son to read,,,,,a small thing I know,,,,but things like that happen to me all of the time,,,that's why I am a firm believer,,,there are no coincedences.
I mentioned in this forum that I will write about the things that have happened to me,,,in small doses. This next one is one of the most profound for me,,,,,,
My husband and I were playing golf with another couple,,,our friend brought his girl friend, whom we just met. We were on the course and every once in awhile she would talk about her husband who we learned from her was deceased. I kept wondering how he died, because she was so young. She never hinted as to why.
Afterwards we went into the club house for a drink. She had these large eyes, a very steady gaze, we were talking about nothing in particular, a voice came into my head[male I think and strong] and as I looked at her, silently I telethopically said to her{or the voice,,,lol] "Your husband committed suicide"> I remained poker faced, but I was shocked.
Anyway we decided to go elsewhere for dinner, and in the car, we drove seperately,,,I said to my husband, her husband committed suicide. I told him what he did for a living, right down to what kind of dog she had.,,,,needless to say my huusband thought I was freaky,,,,lol.
Sure enough when we met with her over dinner,,,all of those facts came out. My husband kind of freaked,,,silently of course. He really is not into paranormal anything,,,lol.
But to this day,,,I wondered why,,,I needed to know all of that, and who was telling me!
That is actually the only time, an actual voice has spoken to me silently,,,not just thoughts.
Anyway,,,I have more stuff,,,,I will share at a later date.

I seem to have had things follow me throughout my entire life, but they change depending on where I'm currently living.
The first time I experienced anything, I was about 7 years old, and my parents had just moved me from Lansing to Charlotte (a neighboring town). I woke up several times in the middle of the night to find "someone" just kinda hanging out in my room. I woke up one morning and rolled over in my bed to find a girl standing by the window. Nearly every night I would hear footsteps going up the stairs and stop at my bedroom door. I wouild have things come up missing from my dresser top, and show up in the same place (or in a totally random place) a week or so later.
Things started to die down for me a bit when I hit high school, though that may be because I wasn't there long enough to notice anything. However, when I started going to Central after graduation, things started picking up again for me, and for the first time for my roommate. Our TV (which was mine from home, that I'd never had any issues with before or since) would randomly turn off. But it wouldn't just turn off, it would stay off. It was plugged in and everything, but it would turn off and we were unable to turn it back on. So we would finally give up (since it seemed to happen during our favorite show, The OC) and go to a neighbor's room to watch it. Returning an hour later, the TV would be on and blaring loud, like nothing ever happened. My stereo, which does not have a timer or an auto-on feature, would randomly turn on in the middle of a movie, or while studying. It only seemed to do it when the room was quiet, which wasn't very often. On one occasion I came back from a class to find my roommate locked in the hallway in her pajamas. My first reaction was, oh my word, what happened? She was panicky, and told me our main door was propped open, but it was at a time when most people have a class and our hallway is normally empty. She was at her computer, which faces the doorway of our main room, and she saw and heard "me" come into the common room, past the door, and set my stuff down at my desk. Right away she asked me if my class was canceled. When I didn't answer, she called my name, then walked into the room, to find it totally empty. She kinda freaked and ran into the hallway to see if I, or anyone else, was out there, and somehow managed to lock the door behind her, when it's not one you can lock without the key.
Currently, me, my husband, and our 1 year old daughter moved back to my hometown and are currently experiencing things on a daily basis. At first it was just random bumps from the living room. Being in an apartment building, there are many noises that I blow off as nothing. However, it can't all be blown off. The one evening, it was about 8 and my daughter was trying to get into everything, so i shut my bedroom door so she couldn't get into stuff. Having just moved in, there are random boxes everywhere still. A few hours later, I went into the bedroom to put away clothes, and a box that had been about 5 feet away from the door was pushed halfway in front of the door. It was also full of blankets and bedding, and with the position of the bed, I had to really work to get it out of the way so I could get in the room. My husband was at work at that time. I'd been in the dining room on the laptop the one night after the baby had gone to bed (the hubby works nights, so I'm at home alone a lot) and I distinctly heard a cough from the living room, which made me shiver, to say the least. My daughter's door has popped open randomly. Both times it has popped open, I'd put her in bed, and I latch her door tight, since otherwise it kinda rattles when you walk past her room. So it's been latched and one minute it's closed, the next she's awake and crying because her door is wide open and the light from the hall is pouring into her room.
I've also found since we've moved here that I have extreme difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep, since I keep thinking I hear the front door open. Being a mother, my instant reaction is to get up and see what's going on. Of coarse, there's nobody there, but this may happen 10-15 times a night. Talk about frustrating! |

Hi Champ and welcome,
Thanks for your stories, quite interesting for sure. One thing I do get frrom you, you do seem calm about the experiences you have and are having. To me, since I have had some of my own, I know this is a "normal and credible reaction. I don't know the reason for this except maybe a defense mechanism, or simply put, we get used to it. Maybe the entity is friendly, or doesn't want to scare us to death. Either way my theory is, you, yourself could be drawing the paranormal by your sensitivity, since it seems to follow where you are. Some poltergeist and kinetic activity could be involved here. All of these things could be playing a role.
We would love to investigate your home, see what we come up with, evps etc. Bring our equipment and see what we get.
If you are interested email me : mysticpoet5@charter .net
Thanks again for your interest,

When I was a kid, (1976 or 1977) my grandparents owned a house on Ontaga in Farmington. My parents rented the house for a short time. I believe it was haunted. When sitting in the kitchen you would here footsteps coming up from the basement. Then you would here rustling of a coat as aman unseen would walk through the kitchen. Other times you would here softer footsteps on the basement steps. A little girlsvoice could be heard in a downstairs bedroom. Lights upstairs would go on and off by themselves. My dad tells me the two ghosts appear to be a man and a little girl. Sometimes the light footsteps would be heard, and then the heavier footsteps. After the rustling of the coat would go by, the softer footsteps wiould be heard running down the stairs. We got the impression the lilttle girl was afraid of the man. My parents also stated that the "man" gave them an ominous feeling, while the "girl" seemed kind. The haunting didn't really bother anyone until one day my parents heard me crying (I was 2 or 3 years old) at the bottom of the stairs to the second floor. When asked what was wrong I said "The man brought me down." At that point we decided it was time to move. My grandparents had experienced similiar phenomenon prior to that.
My dad did some checking around and was told this house had been part of the old Bottsford Inn. There were charred ceiling joists in the attic, so possibly there was a fire at some point. I do not know if the houses history is accurate.
I amntrying to research the houses history. I would like to ask the current occupants if they had experienced anything.
